Gov. John Bel Edwards announced today that he is extending Louisiana’s stay-at-home order through May 15, saying some regions haven’t shown enough progress in fighting the coronavirus outbreak to lessen widespread restrictions on businesses and public gatherings. (Associated Press)
When bars eventually re-open, it might be at only 25% of their legal occupancy rates.

Personal Impact:

The Pat O’s entertainers have been doing live-streamed shows, one at a time, each from our own houses. My turn is coming Friday, May 1.
I’ve been busy for the last couple of weeks learning OBS Studio broacast software. Also bought an Scarlett 2i2 audio interface to enable the use of proper microphones and not just use the laptop microphone. Running the mics through the Scarlett, then through Garageband for reverb, then piping that output to OBS.

Trump apologists’ defense has been obliterated by ‘But Lysol’

This was an extended conversation reflecting the grotesque ignorance and total unfitness of the man who at every turn has failed to protect the country during the worst domestic crisis since the Great Depression. It illustrated how he intellectually corrupts those around him, forcing them to sacrifice their own credibility to defend his inanities.

The more Trump’s sycophantic aides defend him, the worse he looks and the greater the concern that he has created a cult that is unable to inform or educate him.
