Louisiana has the fastest growth rate of confirmed cases in the world, Edwards said, citing a University of Louisiana at Lafayette study. “This is why it matters,” Edwards said. “If we want to flatten the curve, we have to take action today.”

Five days ago, on March 17, the USA had 5,894 cases and I said this:
People are saying we’re nine days behind Italy, so… the USA will pass 30,000 cases on Thursday, March 26.I was wrong. We passed 30,000 cases today, Sunday March 22.
Louisiana’s growth rate has been hovering around 40% (by my own measurements)
At this rate, the amount of cases doubles every two days.
If that rate continues, when you wake up next Sunday we will have 8,832 cases.Also, when you wake up next Sunday, the USA will pass 200,000 cases.
